The Georgia Sigmas teamed up with the Zeta chapters throughout state of Georgia to encourage voter turnout for the January 5 United States Senate runoff election. Chapters in the Metro Atlanta, Athens, Columbus, Coastal Georgia and Middle Georgia areas hit the streets to get voters to return to the polls and elect senators for the US Senate. In close general election senate races, candidates Jason Ossoff and David Perdue received the highest the number of vote in one race while Rev. Raphael Warnock and Kelly Loeffler captured the highest number of votes in the second race. However, no candidate was able to obtain 50% of the vote. Therefore, runoff election was created. This is an important election because of the possible change of majority party for 2021-2023 Senate term. Georgia is considered a battleground state since President-Elect won Georgia's 16th Electoral Votes by 10,000 votes and it was the first time a Democratic presidential candidate has won the state since 1992. Also, men of Sigma and women of Zeta wanted to ensure there is no significant drop in voter turnout for the senate runoff.
